TV3’s presenter Odelia Ofori has been involved in an accident at the Bunso roundabout in the Eastern region Kasapafmonline.com can confirm.
Two people are reported dead while the injured are currently receiving treatment at the Oseim Hawa Memorial hospital. Odelia escaped unhurt.
The accident occurred when the Toyota Landcruiser belonging to the Geological Survey Department on which she and her other colleagues were travelling to Sunyani collided with a Hyundai Grace mini urvan bus at the Bunso roundabout Thursday morning.
They were in the company of the Director of the Geological Survey Department Mr Duodo to Sunyani to commission the Brong Ahafo regional office.
Some drivers, who spoke to our Eastern Regional correspondent Kweku Olegor, who reported the accident described the venue of the accident as a hot spot for accidents and further called on the government to do something about the citing of the roundabout.
“We urge government to take a second look at the roundabout; there must be policemen stationed there to direct traffic. We’ve seen a lot of accidents happening there. The road markings at the roundabout have all faded and must be done as soon as possible” The driver said.
