The 1994 year group of O’level from Asanteman Senior High school who pride themselves with the name GREAT ’94 and responds Nananom Kaakyire on Friday May 6, 2016 Donated 2000 branded Exercise books, worth about 3,500 Gh cedis to the school’s administration to be distributed to the students.

In his short speech before the donation Bill Asamoah president of GREAT ’94 thanked the schools administration for the discipline, good moral values and above all the academic excellence that were instilled in them, and he said it has gone a long way to help place them in better positions in the society and they are very much grateful. He further went on to say that it’s barely two years when a few members came together to form the association despite all being members of the mother Association ‘NANANOM’ which have notable and distinguished persons like Hon. Dr. Richard Anane, Nana Tuffuor, Lawyer Sampson Ayenini Lardi etc as members, But they can humbly say that they have membership all over the globe and they are doing so much to help not only their membership but also to give back to society as their core social responsibility.

Receiving the books on behalf of Mrs. Doris Bimpong the headmistress, Mr. Prince Charles Goin thanked Nananom Great ‘94 for the kind gesture and assured them of giving it to the students to help with their academic work, and also as the good old Oliver Twist asked for more when he asked them to look round and see for themselves the ongoing many infrastructural works, and come back to help both in cash and in kind to speed up development of the school

The assistant headmaster Mr. Goin took the group round the school to see for themselves uncompleted projects that have stalled and hoped the association will soon come to their aid to help, Mr. Bill Asamoah who currently is the president of the Ashanti Regional branch of the Ghana Actors’ Guild thanked him for the warm reception and took time to encourage and advice the students around not to take their studies for granted and also aspire to be great leaders in future so they can always come back to help other students like they are doing but the key to all that is discipline.

The group meets on the first sunday of every month at the Jazz club, Centre for national culture in Kumasi 3:00pm sharp, as added by the General Secretary as she gave the vote of thanks and also used the moment to thank all members both home and abroad for responding swiftly to the call and further disclosed that, the group though is using this to announce their existence they have already donated 2000 gh cedis to a member of their year group who was paralysed after a car accident and hoped that members wouldn’t let the enthusiasm die off but rather be rekindled so as to keep the name NANANOM GREAT ’94 going higher by the day.
