    Parliament approves Evans Opoku Bobie as Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports

    Mr Evans Opoku Bobie, who is the Member of Parliament for Asunafo North Constituency was appointed by President Akufo-Addo as Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports. He has been vetted and approved by the vetting committee of Parliament after his marvellous performance at the vetting. His humility touched the house. Mr Bobie gave a full assurance to support Hon. Mustapha Yussif, the minister for sports, so that they can succeed and make Ghana proud.


    PROFILE OF HON. EVANS OPOKU- BOBIE
    (MP) ASUNAFO NORTH/ DEPUTY MINISTER FOR YOUTH AND SPORTS.

    A former Football player at Goaso local team. A top-notch banker with over 15 years of experience
    with Ahafo Community Bank Limited. Possesses excellent
    administrative, verbal communication and
    development skills. very sociable, friendly, committed Christian and God-fearing with a congenital heart. Married with children.
    General supervision of bank’s operations and
    management of the bank resources.
    Responsible for, preparation of yearly training
    programs, staff training, carrying out staff appraisal
    , delivering lectures to micro-finance groups and
    actively leading management meetings, discussing
    and encouraging rural developments programmes.

    agricultural productivity at Hwidiem in the Asutifi

    He constructed the Ahafo Community Bank Limited
    one-storey modern office complex at a cost of GH
    489,657.37 at Kukuom, the capital of the Asunafo
    South District in the then Brong Ahafo Region. He is being recognised as one of the best performing regional ministers during his tenure of office in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions. He is expected to excel at the sports ministry.
