The Ghana lotto operators association and concerned lotto agents and fhe writers association have vowed to vote against the NPP government in the 2020 elections if they fail to  conduct investigations into the where about of  over Ghc 30 million cedis paid by members of the Association to the National Lotteries Authority.
This was contained in a statement signed by the chairman of the Association, Daniel Borsor and delivered on Monday by members of the Association.
” Director General of the National Lotteries Authority , Mr. Osei Ameyaw and the Director of sales and marketing have collected over GHC 30 million cedis from them for over a year without acknowledging and issuing receipt”
” What happened to the advertised Banker- to- Banker operations  (PPP) the funds were collected for. Who has ever paid millions of Ghana cedis and a 5 million Bank  insurance guarantee to retail lotto in the history of Ghana. In any case do you need to pay millions of cedis to retail lotto when the sales target has not even been discussed” they added.
They also said government will lose huge electoral fortunes if its fails to address the challenges the operators are confronted with and the intended use of the security to harass them.
This they said will not give any benefit to that state but “perpetrate new Chinese platform- rental fees fraud against the government resulting  in  over 2 million votes to be lost for the private lotto fraternity and their families. We should not forget the electoral defeats of the NPP in 2008- 2012! Why should Akuffo Addo government tolerate the graft at NLA!  rather not direct the regularisation of the private sector in lotto in the face of all the extortion under the guise of PPP  in lotto under the Osei Ameyaw administration at NLA.at the expense of a few greedy people at NLA. Government must be duly advised on the consequences of insecurity, resistance, anger and public refusal to vote for the NPP in 2020 elections”.
They also maintained that government can raise revenue through taxes and also generate employment if private lotto is left to operate without any monopolistic and unnecessary interferences from the NLA adding that private lotto operators have even brought innovation into the business.
They observed “for instance, how can the private sector currently build kiosk for writers at GHC 2,000.00 and the NLA buys a Chinese kiosk at 5,000 Dollars. This exposes the massive corruption going on at NLA. Before the Advent of Act 722 in 2006, the private sector contributed more lotto revenue than the NLA”.
They  further appealed to the president to help them retrieve
all machines and monies unduly collected from  all the operators without delay.
