The Osu traditional council and the elders of Osu stool have today ban all political activities as well as restraining the entire Osu residents from participating in the general elections if government doesn’t put a stop to unlawful encroachment of their lands.
Narrating their ordeal to the press, Nii Kobina Bonney I, Osu Alata Mantse on behalf of the Osu Chief Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuna VI made the revelations that some Soldiers have invaded lands belonging to the Osu traditional council at the Achimota school area on Friday dawn destroying the fence wall and other properties in the process.
Nii Kobina Bonney stated the Accra High court had previously ruled against the Lands Commission to stay away from their lands which makes the whole issue shocking to them.The traditional council reminded Ghanaians about the possible return of the 1948 riots as a result of land litigation between the Osu traditional council and British our colonial masters.
The Elders also announced a ban on all political activities in the Osu community and threaten to storm the Parliament House to seek clarification of the whole matter to ascertain whether some group of people are above the laws of Ghana.
