Large numbers of mourners from all walks of life clad in their red and black clothes have started trooping to the Dwabrem, the seat of the occupant of the Golden Stool for the one week observation rites of the late Asantehemaa.

As early as 7 am people believed to be from far were seen entering the area. Various chiefs have arrived with their seats and umbrella while radio and television stations have moved their studious to the mourning grounds and having their morning shows.

Even insurance companies are selling their policies at the grounds. Armed security personnel could be seen all over. It is expected that the chief mourner will sit in state by 12 noon. The daise for President Mahama and other dignitaries have been erected.
