One of rap music’s foremost stars in Ghana, Okyeame Kwame has condemned the ongoing feud between two of the country’s rap finest Sarkodie and M.anifest.

The two have churned out innuendo-laced songs in a who-is-who battle that has dominated the airwaves and social media platforms over the last one week.

The feud was allegedly started by a track released by Sarkodie called Bossy, featuring Jayso which attracted an immediate reaction from M.anifest who pulled no punches as he released a diss song, godMC.

Sarkodie also responded with a diss track titled Kanta.

As the storm rages on, Okyeame Kwame popularly known as Ghana’s Rap Doctor in an interview with Graphic Showbiz described the rap feud as unnecessary and potentially damaging for the Ghana music industry.

“The emphasis at this point should be ‘competition’. This is the new paradigm for music where competitors work together for a common good. Competition is dead, plain and simple. To put it plainly, it’s the number one killer of the industry.

“Instead of creating animosity, music should be used to bring fans together so we can concentrate on developing a better performance culture,” the Rap Doctor said.
