He explained that the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform reduced the technical skills and labour needed to run, maintain and develop data storage, and added that Nutanix Enterprise Cloud combines the agility and simplicity of the public cloud, with the security and control one needs in a private cloud.
It is built on the industry’s leading hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) technology which integrates compute, storage, virtualization and networking in a full-stack solution that runs nearly any application.
Rowen Grierson during his presentation indicated that Nutanix is the only service provider that delivers a single software OS that runs across clouds, making the boundaries between private, public and distributed clouds invisible.
“Nutanix solutions combine web-scale engineering with consumer-grade management to power any workload in multi-cloud environments,” he added, saying that “The Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform simplifies infrastructure management so you can focus on delivering business value and innovation.
Integrated data protection, non-disruptive upgrades, and self-healing systems ensure predictable performance, reliable disaster recovery, and efficient operations at lower cost. Get the power of One OS, One Click.”
Touching on some of the benefits of using NUTANIX Sostware, he said it guarantees lower costs of upto 40-60% reduction in overall CapEx and OpEx, provides limitless scalability, gives the fastest Time-to-Value which is eight times faster time to value in buying, deploying and managing.

“Nutanix one-click upgrades reduce both complexity and risk involved with the upgrade process – there is no complex interoperability matrix or operational guidelines. Nutanix also simplifies the flash-based architecture by eliminating LUNs and their presentation by focusing on VMs rather than on storage constructs, and by including both centralized management and capacity planning. Nutanix gives the compute direct access to the storage.
Servicing requests with limited overhead and consistent low latency enables mixing of workloads; and with Nutanix Acropolis Block Services, Nutanix becomes the storage backplane for bringing together different types of applications. Customers can even consolidate both physical workloads and virtualized workloads in the same cluster,” he assured.
Nutanix Enterprise Cloud converges server, storage, virtualization and networking into one software-defined platform.
The Enterprise Cloud Platform is scalable, and it’s available as a turnkey appliance or a software-only platform.
Nutanix Calm is also part of the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform that handles application automation and lifecycle management across public and private clouds.
The Xi Cloud Services are an extension of the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform. Xi Cloud Services deliver a public cloud environment that can be automatically configured and provisioned.
NUTANIX also runs other services including the Xi Disaster Recovery Service, the Nutanix X-Ray, Nutanix Acropolis software and Nutanix Prism software uses machine learning technology to help manage, monitor and analyze the vendor’s hyper-converged infrastructure.
