Hundreds of supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have besieged the residence of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at Nima in Accra, asking him to address them on the outcome of the presidential elections.
It has become apparent that these people were expecting the announcement of results by the Electoral Commission (EC) which had been delayed for reasons still unclear to them.
The supporters seemed enraged by the delay in the announcement of the outcome of the polls.
In a very charged environment, the supporters are calling for an invasion of the EC’s office but have been impressed upon by party bigwigs to hold their fire as things were being sorted out.
However, it appears that the crowd still remains resolute in their quest to ensure the announcement of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as president-elect.
