Nominations for the ‘ Ghana National Herbal Awards’ which aim at inducting the most outstanding products and services in Ghana into a hall of fame, have opened in Kumasi.
The event which commemorates the first anniversary celebration of the Nyamedua herbal and foundation, organizers of the programme, is scheduled for Saturday 6th January 2018 at the Golden Tulip Hotel Kumasi.
Speaking at the formal launch of the awards scheme, the PRO for Nyamedua herbal and foundation Michael Boateng, said the purpose of the scheme was to expose indigenous Ghanaian products and services to the larger market, as well as promote made in Ghana products and services.
He explained that the ‘Ghana National Herbal Awards’ process would basically shortlist the best celebrated products and services which have exhibited excellence in quality, manufacturing practices and standards over the years.
Ten of the outstanding products and services would be inducted into the prestigious ‘Ghana National Herbal Awards of Fame’, while another ten would be selected for award as ‘Ghana National Herbal Awards Products and Services of the Year’ for their exceptional contribution to the development of the private sector in creating economic and social values.
