The founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor is demanding that she be given police protection.

The controversial politician in an interview outlined that the recent raid on her party office in the Eastern Region is part of the major reasons why she is demanding protection from the security agencies.

“They attacked and burnt my party office and took away my valuables including clothes I bought from the USA to sew for campaign…that’s part of the reasons why I am demanding security so I can’t be attacked…,” she said.

The office located at Kabu along the Koforidua-Akropong Highway in the Akuapem North Municipality of the Eastern Region was gutted by fire in January.

Computers, printers, desks, plastic chairs, stationery, Kente cloths, ceiling fans, the party’s constitution, were destroyed by the fire.

Though the cause of the fire was not established, Akua Donkor blamed it on her political opponents.

And this, she argued is part of the main reasons she is demanding police protection.
