A political scientist, Prof. Kwasi Prempeh has asked those saying re-election of John Dramani Mahama as the flag bearer of the National Democratic Party NDC will spell doom for the 2020 general election and revise their notes.
Speaking on Adekye Pa on Adinkra Tv with Kwasi Fokuo Kudom indicated that, the NDC made the right decision for choosing John Dramani Mahama as it’s flag bearer.
Prof. Prempeh added that, the maturity of NDC executives who voted in the Saturday’s election indicate that Ghanaian democracy has really come of as though there’s still room for improvement and pre-serving how far we have come.
The national Democratic Congress last Saturday organised a smooth and peaceful presidential primaries across the country which saw the former president mahama secure an enyphetic endorsement from the delegates with 213,487 votes representing 95.23% .
Prof. Kwsei Prempeh stated that, the just ended NDC peaceful primary will help other political parties to commit themselves to peaceful elections in the country.
The massive endorsement by the party indicates the leadership front to the ordinary sympathizer of the NDC in strong and not divided. he added.
He advised the NDC to hold this unity as the party prepare to wrestle power from the New patriotic Party in the 2020 election.
