Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has described Minority Members of Parliament as clueless persons bereft of ideas and proper leadership following the decision of the MPs to walkout of the chamber as President Akufo-Addo readied himself for the presentation of his fourth State of the Nation Address.
Before President Akufo-Addo could begin addressing the House, Members of the Minority, clad in black apparel unanimously staged a walkout for reasons yet to be known.
Speaking on the development after the President’s address, Mrs Owusu-Ekuful said the Minority MPs have failed to deliver on their mandates as legislators..
She described them as a group of “totally clueless, visionless, directionless” individuals when it comes to ‘delivering a policy for growing the economy.’
“It is their responsibility to the constituents who voted them into office to listen to the constitutional requirement of the President delivering the States of the Nations Address to Parliament. But as the President indicated the sign of things to come. Nature abhors a vacuum, they will also stage a walk-out in the 2020 December polls and we will occupy the entire space in the house and in the country. After all, the president indicated, what they were unable to do in their 16 years in power, we have done in three years and so the government is in very focused hands, focus, dynamic, we are delivering on our mandate.
