Two National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency Executives in Damongo in the West Gonja District of the Northern Region have been involved in an accident at Garinzegu close to Tamale.
The constituency Chairman Alhaji Issahaku Singapore and Branch Secretary for Damongo Langbonto Ewuntomah Malik Joe were on their way to Damongo when the incident occurred.
Aide to the Northern Regional Minister Dramani Ecomog who confirmed the accident to ultimate1069.com disclosed that the white double cabin Toyota Hilux pickup they were driving crushed into the trailer of a moving tractor which had neither reflectors nor tail lights.
Both executives escaped unhurt but one occupant on the trailer of the tractor is reported to have been injured and was rushed to hospital for medical attention.
The matter has since been reported to the police while the two executives were examined t the Tamale Teaching Hospital to determine if they had sustained injuries as a result.
