Security Analyst, Adam Bonah has condemned the national security handling of riots on the break out over Damongo as Savannah capital Tuesday.
According to him, the agencies had failed to ensure culprits in cases of violence are prosecuted.
Mr Bonah’s comment comes on the back of an attack by the youth of Salaga, on newly created Savannah Region following the naming of Damongo as the regional capital.
The irate youth have burnt down the head office of the ruling New Patriotic Party, as well as tore down signboards of party functionaries to protest their loss of hosting the regional capital.

Speaking on the issue with Kwasi Fokuo Kodum on Adinkra Tv, Mr Bonah questioned the reason behind the failure on the part of the national security. To me, we need to be asking the national security a lot of questions.
“The structure of the national security ought to be examined, to ensure that persons appointed to man the Service are not people who kowtow to political pressure in order to resolve 99 per cent of security issues in the country.
“What happened yesterday is really not a surprise in terms of people and citizens getting angry. This is going to much worse because our public safety infrastructure has collapsed,” he said.
He wants the law enforcement agency to apply better intelligence in crowd control.
