It’s official: The romance between Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj is no more. After at least a month of speculation surrounding their relationship, the Barbie has used her Twitter account to announce that she is indeed a single woman.
On early Thursday morning Nicki tweeted, “To confirm, yes I am single. Focusing on my work & looking forward to sharing it with you guys really soon. Have a blessed New Year. Love u.”

As we alluded to before, Nicki’s announcement culminates weeks worth of talk surrounding her romance with the Dreamchasers 4 rapper. The speculation began in earnest after the Pinkprint artist uploaded a cryptic post with Chanel sandals onto her Instagram page.
“Thank God u blew it. Thank God I dodged the bullet. I’m so over u. Baby good lookin out. #BestThingUNeverHad thank u for this epic gift @sincerearmani,” Nicki captioned the incendiary post. The cryptic message prompted thousands on social media to voice their opinions on the state of her dating life almost immediately.
About a week after Nicki’s Instagram post, Meek Mill uploaded what appeared to be a thirst trap featuring an unnamed onto his Instagram page, throwing acid onto what many people already believed to be a rapidly dissolving relationship.
Now, we know that Nicki’s relationship with Meek Mill is officially over, and Nicki is beginning 2017 as both the reigning queen of hip-hop and the rap game’s most eligible bachelorette.
