The Minister of Communications, Dr Edward Omane Boamah has reiterated that there was an “obvious media bias against the government,” which was very well known.
He was responding to a publication in the Ovation Magazine in which President Mahama said a group of media practitioners have been “blocking” and “distorting” his developmental agenda.
Dr Omane Boamah insisted: “The obvious bias the President has spoken about it, it is obvious and it is not lost, no one can challenge this.”
Asked to put out names of media personnel the President referred to as a “cabal” Dr Boamah declined and said “I’m sure if the President wanted to put out names, he would have done that but this bias is very well known.”
He urged the media to be a little more receptive and flexible in treating “good news also coming from government and the NDC as a political party.”
