The final funeral ceremony of former member of the Council of State, Dr. Mary Grant, will be held today at the state house.
Mary Grant’s burial service was held on Wednesday with worship and song service at the Calvary Methodist church.
Dr. Grant was the first female to have served on the Council of State. She was appointed as Deputy Secretary of health in 1985 during the PNDC era.
She championed the fight for a better welfare of all categories of health workers. She left behind six children and four grandchildren.
