THE NATIONAL Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Kofi Adams, has described as flawed and incomprehensible comments by the party’s immediate past national chairman that president Akufo-Addo won the 2016 elections due to his wealth of experience.

Dr Kwabena Adjei,  on Wednesday on ‘Starr Chat’, said the tenacity of Akufo-Addo and the fact that he is a an elderly person would augur well for the country’s transformation.

“I’m happy,” he told host, Bola Ray, adding “because he comes with a wealth of experience that will help and then certain respectability from the elderly people.”

According to him, one of the reasons why John Mahama lost the 2016 elections was because he surrounded himself with a lot of “inexperienced handlers.”

In his reaction yesterday, Mr Adams, who was the  coordinator for the Mahama campaign team in the 2016 elections, disagreed with Dr Adjei, saying if it was about experience, Mahama’s was unquestionable.

“Those who contested, there was one who was already doing the job and had done the lower level of the job as vice-president and had been president….if it is about experience I don’t think that President Nana [Akufo-Addo] came into the position with more experience than [former] president Mahama,” he told  ‘Morning Starr’ host Francis Abban.
