Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has alleged that President Dramani Mahama has sold out the Osu Children’s Home land for $12m.

The legislator told Atinka fm in an exclusive interview that “President Dramani Mahama has secretly sold the the Osu Children’s Home for US $ 12m to a private company. I have the documents of the transaction between the President and the private owner. I dare the President to come out and refute my claim and I will release the documents. The documents covered the entire six acres of land that has been sold out to the private company. Again, he [President Mahama] has sold the 16 acre Psychiatric center too.”

“The President does not care about the good people of the country. All he thinks about his family, cronies and girlfriends. His attitude is very bad for the development of the nation. In a country where youth unemployment is hitting the roof, economic hardship, collapse of businesses , the President suddenly sells a property for his personal gain. Posterity will judge him,” he charged.

He also accused the president and government of inflating the cost of the circle interchange by $74m.

When asked about the source of documents he releases from time to time about public office holders especially those in the NDC, Ohene Agyapong disclosed, “it the members of the NDC who leak out such information to me. They do that because they are tired of the incompetence and greed of their own president. Even members of his own are sick and tired of him. ”

The controversial businessman opined that all members of the erstwhile NPP who bought government bungalows at cheaper prices should be made to pay, arrested and jailed.
“I have never bought anything belonging to the government before; I don’t condone corruption. Those who sold government bungalows to themselves in former President’s regime should be made to pay and jailed,” he charged.
