The Refereeing Committee of mother football governing body, FIFA has appointed four Ghanaian referees to the status of FIFA referees.

The four Ghanaian referees will receive the FIFA badges on Friday at a special ceremony organised by the Ghana Football Association.

Nathan Anaful will replace the banned Joseph Lamptey as a FIFA recognized referee, the position of experienced referee William Agbovi has been taken by Issaka Afful, Juliet Appiah also takes over from Christine Zigah – who is retired and Doris Essuman replaces Millicent Kanor who is on maternity leave.

The news from FIFA Referee’s Appointment Committee will breathe fresh air into a polluted atmosphere were referees are tagged as corrupt in the country.
