Ghanaian actress and Tv host Cecelia Gyase Konamah populerly known as Abena Ghana has called on Ghanaians to throw their weight behind the Black Stars to help them win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Gabon.
According to her the Black Stars have starved for long without winning the trophy thus the need for the entire nation to back them in their quest to bring home the trophy.
She made the call on her official facebook handle on Friday few days to the second game against the Mali on Saturday 4:00pm.
The Times shares the sentiments of the public, but appeals to all to put behind what transpired in Brazil, and offer the Stars the unflinching support needed to enable them to win the AFCON. The Stars have a great opportunity at this year’s tournament, since all the teams seem to be of equal strength, even though the Stars’ Group C has been labelled the Group of death.
We are cocksure we can qualify for the next round, and hope the Stars would raise their game in the remaining matches and win the cup.
