The captain of the Ghana senior national football team Asamoah Gyan has called on all to accept and forgive outcast Sulley Ali Muntari after the latter sent an apology letter to the Ghana football Association for his conduct at the Brazil 2014 world Cup.
Two years on after a burst up with a management member of the Black Stars Moses Parker, Sulley Muntari has officially written to the Ghana FA expressing regrets about his actions at the Black Stars team hotel in Brazil.
Since the incident happened two years ago, the former AC Milan midfielder has been slapped with an indefinite suspension by the Ghana FA to play for the Black Stars.
The leader of the Black stars team Asamoah after the unreserved apology by his colleague reckons the Saudi Arabia based player should be forgiven.
“I’m very happy for him to have written the letter. For this world if a brother offend you and regret and then come to apologize, you have to forgive him.”
“For now he’s declared that he’s available, he’s apologized. All we have to do is just to forgive him and move on.
He’s one player who has served from 2002 and still plays active football today so i think we should compensate him with what he has done for the country.
We all make mistakes, i can make a mistake, and the next person also can make a mistake so if he has realized that what he did was wrong and has apologized let’s forgive him and move on”. He added.
