The Accra Circuit Court has acquitted and discharge six persons alleged to have aided seven inmates escape from the Kwabenya Police Station.
George Yeboah, Edward Lartey, George Sarbah, Elvis Owusu, George Asante and Theophilus Bandah were set free after the court established that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie against them.The court, presided over by Mr Aboagye Tandoh, however, ruled that the prosecution established a prima facie case against four others; Prince Osei, Nancy Dentaa, Kofi Seshie and Prince Kofi Acheampong, the other accused person.
Mr Tandoh accordingly ordered them to open their defence and adjourned the case to May 23, 2018
