The Ashanti Regional Police have arrested one of the suspected robbers who shot and killed a police officer at a hotel at Denkyembuoso, near Kumasi.
The suspect, Maame Serwaa, 28, is said to be the mastermind behind the robbery which led to the death of Corporal Frank Essel.
Two other suspects are still on the run.
At a press briefing Monday, the Deputy Ashanti Regional Police Commander, ACP Ampofo Duku said Maame Serwaa was the one who hired the two other suspects to rob the hotel.
