The korle-bu senior staff association(KOSSA) awarded it’s members who are going on retirement at the premises of the Dean’s guest house and welcomed the new chief executive officer Dr Felix Anyah into office.
The theme of the durbar was *Working Together In The Interest Of Korle-bu Teaching Hospital* was graced by the new chief executive officer Dr Felix Anyah.
In his speech the President of the Korle-bu senior staff association(KOSSA) Mr. Charles Ofei-Palm urged all the staff of the hospital to come on board and work together to bring the hospital back on track again.
The immediate past chief executive officer made things difficult for staff working at the hospital leading to the interdiction of the President of the Korle-bu senior staff association Mr Charles Ofei-Palm who later reinstain by the new minister of health Dr Kwame Agyemang Manu after series of meetings with him.
This event will be written in the history books of KOSSA because it was the first time the association had the opportunity to have their new CEO in their midst and according to Mr Charles Ofei-Palm this was a clear signal of greater cooperation between KOSSA and the management
On side of the retirees Mr Ofei-Palm said they have worked hard for the hospital and therefore it was need to celebrate them and show appreciation for all what they did. Their contributions have sustained the continuous viability of the hospital said Mr Charles Ofei-Palm
He therefore urged those who are still at post to begin to show greater commitment to work whilst KOSSA shows appreciation to the retirees; service To mankind is service to God.
Mr Ofei-Palm advice them to show live to patients and demonstrate greater love amongst staff. We must make our clients our prime focus and give them the best quality health care they expect from us. He also encouraged the staff to show mutual respect to one another so that together they can all take Korle-bu to the pinnacle if heights.
The association has experienced battles with mismanagement, which brought a lot of friction and tension in the hospital. He took the opportunity to thank members for their massive support and prayers during the difficult times with the past administration.
He expressed his gratitude to thank the minister of health once again for his timely intervention in ensuring that KOSSA President is fully re-instated and have all his entitlements due him paid.
He also took the occasion to welcome their new CEO Dr. Felix Anyah and assured him that KOSSA was 100 percent ready to partner him to achieve greater heights for Korle-bu Teaching Hospital and urged him to count on them lastly he welcomed back the director of pharmacy Mrs. Elizabeth Bruce
In conclusion Mr Ofei-Palm thanked various sponsors *Unibank* for this august occasion, without their financial support and help this program wouldn’t have happened.
