Mayor of the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu is expected to be invited before the Kumasi Traditional Council to respond to accusations of disrespect leveled against him by the chiefs.

The chiefs turned against him last week asking the President to remove him from office, citing among others what they describe as gross disrespect towards the Asantehene’s chosen representative on the Kejetia Central market project, the Amoamahene, Nana Agyenim Boateng.

Though Kojo Bonsu has apologized publicly, he is expected to follow traditional steps to formally appease the angry chiefs this week.

Luv FM’s Erastus Asare Donkor in a report said, the Kumasi City Mayor has already begun steps to appease the chiefs to give him a second chance.
