Some journalists who covered today’s tour of the Western Region by President John Mahama have been involved in an accident.
The accident happened around 7:00 pm local time Monday when they were returning from a commissioning ceremony of a new community Senior High School.
A vehicle belonging to the President’s convoy is said to have run into the hired one carrying the journalists. The same vehicle later ran into a local radio station, Radio 360, owned by Rlg’s Roland Agambire.
One person with serious injuries has so far been admitted at a local hospital.
Some 12 journalists were on the trip.
Today’s accident follows the death of Ghanaian Times Reporter Samuel Nuamah, who also lost his life during a presidential assignment in August.
