The Presdential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), John Dramani Mahama has said he’ll accept the outcome of the polls whether “positive or negative”
Addressing party supporters who trooped to his residents in the capital, Cantonments-Accra, Mr Mahama asked his supporters not to dampen their spirit in the voting trends, but asked them to linger on and be patient until the final results is declared by the EC.
“Let us respect the constitution, the EC is doing its work. they have rel;eased some figures. We have taken hold of those figures. We are doing our own collation and comparing it with the figures we have. But we need to be calm so that the EC can do its work.
“…Let us just be calm, let us get the figures, let us do the comparisons and let us be law abiding and God Vless our homeland Ghana!”
Meanwhile, the main opposition leader, Nana Addo’s total votes garnered nationwide gives him a statistical advantage ahead of main rival and incumbent President John Mahama. Mr. Akufo-Addo’s New Patriotic Party are also likely to get a Parliamentary majority.
