Kumawood actor, Kwasi Boadi popularly known as Akrobeto has described as fake a poster circulating on social media of him starring in a movie which is meant to mimic Ghana’s ‘Guantanamo Bay’ detainees.

The Kumawood actor expressed surprise at the movie poster insisting that he has not been a cast in such a movie.

A movie poster “Guantanamofo Wo Krom” has been circulating on various social media platforms since Wednesday.

The artwork is said to be of a movie by some actors in Kumasi regarding the two Guantanamo bay prisoners who have been transferred to Ghana.

Akrobeto stated that he has not heard of the issue of the transfer of the transfer of ex-Guantanamo detainees to the country for him to think of starring in a movie of that kind.

“Who did you say are in town? Who brought them? No, I have no idea about that. I have not shot any movie like that. What is that really about?” he told the media.

Actress Kyeiwaah is also seen on the poster as well.

Producers of Akan movies are noted for using trending events, personalities and song titles as movie titles.

Productions that have hit the market include: Osama Bin Laden, Tonga, Yentie Obiaa, Sir John, Castro Amanehunu, Oh Vera, Ayari Cough, Maricruz, Menam Na Metete, Obinim Schwaznager, among others.
