President John Dramani Mahama says he has no immediate plans after he leaves the highest office of Ghana following his defeat in the just ended general elections.
But speaking at a meeting of Heads of State of Government of the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS) in Abuja, Nigeria, President Mahama noted that his immediate intention was to take a “well-deserved” rest.
“Many people have asked me what my plans are but I have no plans yet. My immediate intention is to take a well-deserved rest. After three years of working without a single break I think that going forward I will be more engaged in sub-regional and global matters,” he said.
Meanwhile, the president will on Tuesday begin a nationwide thank you and farewell tour.
