Coach of Inter Allies, Herbert Addo, has said that his attention was on the output of his players rather than the scoreline following their 2-1 loss to Liberty Professionals in Dansoman in Week 2 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Tema-based side was handed its first loss of the new season via a Kingsley Kissi own goal and a header from Latif Blessing. Inter Allies got a their consolation through Frederick Boateng in the second half.
After the match, Addo revealed that he was more preoccupied with how his players fared than the result. “I am not too worried about the result.
I was more concerned with the performance. I made changes to the team because some of my players were wither injured or on yellow cards.”
“Those positions had to be filled. If I have a team of 20 players, I believe that all of them should be able to play.
We had our chances against Liberty but we did not take them.” “We could have played better but some of the players were new to the league and so, they were nervous.”
Inter Allies are fourth on the league table with 3 points from their two matches played. They face Dreams FC in Tema, New Edubiase in Obuasi and Hearts of Oak in Tema in their next three matches.
