HON Gifty Twum Ampofo, the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North constituency in the Eastern Region has distributed 2O00 mathematical sets to final year Junior High School candidates for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the constituency.
Addressing the final year candidates, Mrs. Gifty Twum Ampofo, former Tutor at Akosombo International said, the donation is aimed at boosting education by way of aiding the candidates to adequately prepare for the impending examinations and achieving better results.
Hon Gifty Twum Ampofo who prayed before distributing the mathematical sets to each of the final year candidates at the various schools, urged them to learn hard and pass well so that her outfit will give scholarship scheme to any of them (pupil) who might scored aggregate 18 in the upcoming BECE starting from next week Monday.
She toured the 86 Junior High Schools in areas such as; Akyem Osiem, Old and New -Tafo, Kukurantumi, Anyinasin, among others where she met and interacted with the 1,820 final year candidates from the different cluster of schools in her constituency.
The pupils who received the items were grateful for the kind gesture from the parliamentary candidate and were optimistic of success in the exams.
