Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2014 winner Abigail Baciara Bentie popularly known as Baci has donated some food items and Covid relief items to people of Upper West and Northern Region. She donated items such as 3,000 Face mask , hand sanitizers and veronica buckets.
Presenting the masks, Baci said her organisation believed that the people in the Upper West and Northern Region community must be protected from the virus so that they would continue to successfully steer the affairs of living in this troubling times.
“In the midst of Covid-19 pandemic, the world has come to almost a halt. Nevertheless, we should prepare for the post crisis.
“I believe that the fight against covid-19 should be a shared commitment and responsible of every individual, organization and stakeholder. Everyone has a role to play. Covid-19 is real but unfortunately most rural dwellers do not believe that this pandemic is real hence they do not abide by the safety precautionary measures and sadly those who wish to cannot even afford a nose mask. It is my wish to get more support from Coperate organizations and well meaning individuals so as to reach the poorest of the poor who needs our help during this season of covid-19.” She added
She, however, called on the cooperate world to support rural communities in this difficult period as much attention is been placed on urban areas.
