His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has revealed that many Ghanaians have regretted voting his administration out of power.

According to Mr Mahama, wherever he goes the cries of the people have been the same as people keep calling on him and the NDC to liberate them from the shackles of hardship under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia led government.

Speaking to party supporters as part of his campaign tour in the Jaman South constituency, the former leader who is seeking to lead the NDC again said Ghanaians have now realised the mistake they made in 2016 and are calling on the party to come back and redeem them.

“Everywhere I go, people come to me lamenting because they have regretted voting the NDC out of power. They want the NDC to come back because they have realised that they have exchanged their coloured TV for a Black and White TV.”

Commenting on the NDC’s presidential primaries scheduled for Saturday 23rd February, 2019, Mr Mahama said he was hopeful that the elections will be peaceful, free and fair.

He charged party supporters not be hostile towards other competitors in the race since the contest is an intra-party contest.

Mr Mahama told the supporters that the real battle is against NPP in 2020 and urged them to be united and strong in that accord since Ghanaians are yearning for the NDC to come.

Former President Mahama postponed his campaign visit to the Jaman South constituency in October last year due to security concerns in the area.
