Ghana is doomed if Nana Addo loses election 2016 – Asabee

A former Communication Minister in the erstwhile Kufuor administration, Stephen Asamoah-Boateng has said Ghana would be doomed if the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) party’s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo is not elected as president in 2016.

The former legislator for Mfantsiman West made the statement when he addressed NPP constituency executives at Mankessim in the Central Region as part of Nana Addo’s “Rise and Build” tour in the area.

“If our flagbearer Nana Akufo Addo does not win power in 2016, our nation is doomed…we have to ensure that Nana Addo is elected president,” he added.

Stephen Asamoah-Boateng, popularly known as Asabee, entreated his party henchmen not to be lured by money from their opponents as they embark on the herculean task of campaigning for the 2016 general elections.

According to the former communication minister, the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) party has no campaign message and claimed that they are bent on retaining power in 2016 by fair or foul means.

He also cautioned his party members to be vigilant and religiously campaign from house to house to win more parliamentary seats in the region.

“The task before us is not a one man show, but involves all of us. First, to attract votes in the Central Region, we must consider two factors, either you dole out money or you are humble.

As at now we do not have money so we must therefore adopt the latter.” “Secondly, the love of money is gradually creeping into our members.

NDC has nothing to tell Ghanaians but since 2008, it is always on their lips that they would use all means to win power and through our party members they are able to achieve this so I am pleading with you agents to ensure that this does not happen.”
