The Ghana National Fire Service has indicated that fire outbreak at the West Hills Mall was a planned simulation exercise Thursday which took a different twist when persons who were not directly involved got it all twisted.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service, Prince Billy Anaglatey, it was a mock run, adding fire had not gutted any portion as feared by some users of the facility.
Earlier reports indicated that there was a fire outbreak at the shopping mall.
The fire alarm according to some eye witnesses at the facility made a loud sound Thursday morning prompting buyers who did not know what was going on to hurriedly exit the mall only to find out it was a mock exercise.
