Parts of the Labadi Beach hotel in Accra have been razed down by fire.
The fire gutted the ceiling of the hotel’s conference room and spread to the kitchen. the national PRO of the fire service, Timothy Sarfo has said.
According to him, the fire which started “a few minutes to 10am was put out in less than an hour” when they arrived at the scene.
He told Accra based unique FM firemen, with the help of resources from the Ghana armed forces brought the fire under control “at 10:21am and completely extinguished at 10: 35am.”
He said the hotel staff were working together to put out the fire.
Other parts of the hotel have not been affected.
