Fameye honoured by Vice President Dr Bawumia

Fast-rising hiplife musician, Fameye, has received state recognition for his impact on society through his music.

The singer was bestowed with an honorary award by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the positive impact and motivation his music provides.

Though young in the industry, Fameye has stood his grounds and proven his worth to Ghanaians with back-to-back hit songs like ‘Nothing I Get’ and ‘Mati’.

Taking his excitement to Instagram, the singer posted a photo of the moment as he received the certificate of merit.

He revealed his shock on receiving the award as his presence on the ceremony grounds was to perform for the august gathering.

He gave due acknowledgement to his “daddy”, SP Kofi Sarpong for his role in making him achieve “something big” as he termed it.

Born Peter Famiyeh Bozah, Fameye made his entry into the music scene in 2014 after partaking in music competition, MTN Hitmaker Season 4.

He made waves when his debut song Nothing I get dominated the airwaves four years later.
