Ten (10) persons have been confirmed dead and 30 others left with various degrees of injuries after a Yutong bus with registration number GM 2212 – 16 from Kumasi to Accra, run into a Man Diesel Truck from the opposite direction.
According to police sources, one Emmanuel Adofo aged 40 who was driving the Yuntong bus carrying about 54 passengers on reaching the dual carriage road at Nkawkaw bypass drove through one way running to the trailer truck with Registration number ER 917 – A which was also heading to Kumasi from Accra at about 1:30 am Sunday dawn.
The bodies of the deceased persons have since been conveyed to the Holy Family Hospital morgue for preservation while the injured are on admission at the same facility responding to treatment
The suspect driver who escaped unhurt is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
