The long queues you often meet whilst accessing banking services is being shortened as banks make efforts to provide alternate services to customers.

Ghana’s leading bank, Ecobank, is currently servicing 60 percent of its clients through the internet, Atms, point of sale devices and other channels.

Ecobank is running a campaign dubbed ‘Move on Up’ to compliment efforts by the Ghana Interbank payment and Settlement Systems to promote a cashless economy.

The Executive Director, Consumer Banking at ECOBANK, George Mensah Asante, said “we are supporting the Central Banks cash light society where banking transactions will be done without cash. Since we introduced this program, we have seen a reduction in foot print to our banking hall”.

He added that the consumer bank business was to ensure that customers were provided with world-class, convenient, accessible and reliable banking solutions in Ghana, across Africa and globally.

Ama Okyere, Ecobank Group Head of Marketing, said: “Advertising remains a powerful means of introducing Ecobank and its products and services to our millions of existing and prospective customers, all at once.”
