On Friday, Adom FM’s late night political talk show; Burning Issues, was the scene of a heated exchange between the lawyers of Former Ghana Football Association boss; Kwasi Nyantakyi and undercover journalist; Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The banter was over the corruption expose that has in recent times become one of the most controversial and divisive topics in Ghana.
Speaking from the studio with Vim Lady Mr. Martin Luther Obeng, the legal counsel for the Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi accused Anas of using dubious means to indict his client with crime. He demanded for the complete recordings of the journalist in order to have a better appreciation of the happenings described in the expose.
Mr. Sammy Darko, a member of the legal counsel for the journalist who was called in to respond to Mr. Luther, however rebutted with explanation that the demand for the complete recordings of the journalist was rather irrational. He claimed that the call for Anas’ tapes was unreasonable since the expose covered the most vital parts of the investigations, adding that the legal counsel for Kwesi Nyantakyi had no evidence to back it’s allegations against Anas.
