Kumawood film producer and CEO of Peace and Love Film, Daniel Kwadwo Sarfo has fired back at Ghanaian actress, Vicky Zugah describing her as “arrogant and disrespectful”.
He was speaking on Adom Entertainment Hall in reaction to claims by the actress that Kumawood film producers are unprofessional.
The actress in an interview with an Accra Entertainment Newspaper was reported to have said Kumawood producers lack professionalism.
According to the newspaper, Vicky Zugah said local movie producers are not improving because they have failed to learn to improve upon their work.
But Kwadwo Sarfo said he is aware Vicky has only worked with Nyankonton Films so “I don’t understand why she wants to lump all Kumawood producers together and damn us all”.
“If she has seen some unprofessionalism in the production of Nyankonton Films she should say so because it is very arrogant and disrespectful on her part to rubbish the entire Kumawood movie landscape,” he said.
Kwadwo Sarfo, who is known for producing movies like ‘Sure Banker’ and ‘For Girls’ among others, said the actress is just seeking for unnecessary attention in the media because her acting career seems to have hit the rock.
Vicky was recently involved in a motor accident, which left a scar on her face.
She has been off the screens for a while and Sarfo thinks she is looking for an opportunity to bounce back and she is taking on Kumawood as a publicity stance.
“I will never feature Vicky in my movies because I don’t have room for undisciplined characters like her,” he added.
