Crabbe’s Suit Against NPP Suspension Adjourned Indefinitely

A Human Rights court has adjourned sine die a suit brought by suspended Second Vice chair of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) challenging his suspension.

The adjournment was to allow lawyers for Mr. Crabbe to put their house in order after the lawyer for the NPP, Godfred Dame, pointed to the court procedural failure in the filling of the suit by the legal team of the suspended Vice Chair.

Sammy Crabbe proceeded to court months after his suspension by the National Executive Council of the NPP citing violation of the rules of natural justice, error on the face of the records and a breach of procedure.

He further stated in his suit that the two party members who brought the petition against him, Mr. Boye Laryea and Ms. Gladys Tsotso Mann-Dedey, were not members of congress and could not have begun any such proceedings against him.

Mr. Sammy Crabbe was suspended indefinitely alongside the party’s General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong.

The suspension of the two came after the suspension of the National Chairman Paul Afoko.
