Ace Comedian, Samuel Kwadwo Buabeng has died Sunday morning at the Koforidua Government Hospital.
Bishop Bob Okala died in the early hours of Sunday, March 13, 2016. He was 59.
Bishop Bob Okala collapsed after a live performance at the Koforidua Jackson Park and was pronounced dead shortly after he was rushed to the Koforidua Government Hospital.
An event organiser at the Joy Dadi Industries the company which organiser the event where Okala did his last performance, Mr. N. Kwaku Solomon told Eastern Region based Bryte FM that the late Comedian was not part of the artiste line-up for the show.
He said the organizers initially tried all that they could to stop him after finding out that the late Bob Okala was not fit to perform but he persuaded them hence allowing him to perform due to the cordial relationship between him and the organizers.
The station reports further on its website that the late Bob Okala was escorted to the event by a young man believed to be his family member.
Bob Okala’s death comes just a little over a month after another great comedian Nkomode passed on.
The two were Ghana’s best in the 1990s in the popular Key Soap Concert Party on television.
