    Black Stars hold first training ahead of Uganda 2018 World Cup qualifier (PHOTOS)

    The senior national team, the Black Stars on Tuesday morning began preparations for their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda at the Accra Sports Stadium.

    Twenty players out of the 23-man contingent called-up by coach Avram Grant participated in the light training session in Accra.

    Leicester city winger Jeffrey Schlupp, Spanish based Thomas Partey and goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey were the players to miss the training session and are expected in the country later today.

    The team will jet-off to Tamale at 4pm to continue their preparations for their clash with the Cranes of Uganda.

    The Stars will begin their quest for a fourth successive appearance at the World Cup on Friday at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
