Big Dawood urges Ghanaians to prioritize peace ahead of 2024 elections

Founder of Let Love Lead NGO, Big Dawood (Nene Lartey Osakonor I), has called on all Ghanaians to prioritize peace and unity as the nation prepares for the December 2024 general elections.

This call was made during the +233 Peace March held on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, in Accra, which brought together notable personalities and peace advocates to promote a peaceful election season.
Speaking to the crowd after the march, Big Dawood emphasized the significance of maintaining peace, stating, “Our democracy is strengthened by peace. In this election period, let us all remain calm and united as one nation.” He urged citizens to avoid any actions that could lead to unrest, underscoring the need for harmony as Ghanaians head to the polls.
Media personality Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), football administrator Samuel Anim Addo, and musician Keche Joshua joined Big Dawood in his peace appeal. KOD reiterated the importance of stability, reminding the crowd that peace is a collective responsibility, while Anim Addo encouraged Ghanaians to ensure that the upcoming elections reflect the nation’s unity.
The march, which began at the Accra Mall and ended at Elwak Stadium, saw hundreds of participants, including various public figures and community leaders, holding placards and sharing messages of peace. The peaceful procession engaged communities along the 10-kilometer route, reinforcing the need for Ghanaians to uphold national unity throughout the election period.
Other distinguished attendees included Lead Pastor of Pottersville Church Bishop Sam Owusu, WatsUp TV Founder ABD Traore, and retired Chief Superintendent of Police Elvis Bawa Sadongo. The +233 Peace March, organized by Let Love Lead NGO, successfully highlighted the importance of peaceful elections and urged all citizens to contribute to the stability and unity of the country.
