Betway Ghana has wrapped up a first ever customer interaction series in Accra this week. A rare move by a bookmaker in Ghana, Betway has engaged close to 1,200 customers in four cities across the country. The first-of its-kind customer engagement dubbed “Betway Player Meetings” sought to educate players about the rubrics and dynamics of using the Betway platform. In addition it gave customers the opportunity to put faces to the Betway name, as the service provided by the bookmaker does not require interpersonal interactions between customers and the company. Overall the meetings attracted about 1,200 customers, some of whom were recurring participants. The meeting which came off in Cape Coast attracted about 200 customers. The Betway Player Meeting train moved to Takoradi and later to Kumasi. It climaxed in Accra at the National Hockey Pitch. Participating players were awed to see a giant betting outfit such as Betway engage them on issues that were unclear to them and take it a step further to assist in the resolution of those issues. Topics addressed included Deposits and Withdrawals, Call Centre Operations (Working Hours & Number) Betway Markets & Games, Bet Slip, Difference between single bet and multi bet, Betway Jackpots as well as how to use Free Bets on the updated Betway platform. Since launch in June 2016, Betway Ghana has consistently proved its commitment to providing world class service in the Ghanaian online betting market. In the 18 months of operating in Ghana, Betway has contributed immensely to sports development by sponsoring Premier League side Ashanti Gold SC, organizing the Betway Talent Search to discover and support unsigned football talent, organizing community football tournaments to support community teams, sponsoring corporate leagues, organizing a world class coaches workshop for the Premier League coaches with their counterparts form English Premier League side West Ham SC and so on. In addition, Betway has showed its commitment to living up to its name by being the first betting company to give the largest payout in Ghana. One Kwame Fosuhene, a music producer and director from the Ashanti Region was paid almost 1 million Ghana cedis in March for winning one of the bookmaker’s biggest jackpots by predicting 15 games correctly, with a bet of GH C 4. Executives at Betway have announced that the Betway Player Meetings will become a mainstay on the Betway annual activity calendar in the ensuing years.
