The Assembly man for Kyebi Ahenbronmu Electoral area, in the East Akim Municipal of the Eastern Region, Hon Kwame Aseidu Bekoe has banned school kids in his area from watching Adom TV Kumkum Bhagya and other telenovelas series in the evening.
According to the assembly man, he has been moving from house to house, shop to shops in the evening using cane to lashed and drives kids who dump their books and Assembly at one place in presence of their parents to watch the telenovela.
He said, the children don’t learn either do their home work exercise but rather watch the program which is affecting their learning and teaching in schools.
He added that, the telenovela program is for adults, married couples but not for the school kids, therefore he has taken that step to stop the kids from watching the program and rather to focus on their books since they are the future leaders.
Hon Aseidu Bekoe made this know when he renovated and painted Kyebi State JHS and also donated set of computers, printers and it’s accessories to the school.
He further called on his fellow Assembly Members and parents to embarked on that move to stop the kids from watching TV programs at night, and rather learn and pass high marks in their examinations.
