Asante Kotoko has submitted its squad for the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup campaign to the Confederation of African Football.
The team has been going through its pre-season preparations ahead of the new Ghana Premier League campaign and their run in the Confederations Cup comes just before the local league kicks off.
Coach Steve Pollack has decided on picking 26 players (3 Goalkeepers, 7 Defenders, 12 Midfielders and 4 strikers) for the African campaign. Regulars like Felix Annan, Amos Frimpong and Saddick Adams have been added to the squad.
In addition, the returning Jordan Opoku is in the team to add his experience while new boy, Mohammed Sylla, has been given a place in the squad. Former Black Starlets goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad, has been given a place in the squad.

Goalkeepers: Felix Annan, Michael Abu, Ibrahim Danlad
Defenders: Amos Kwasi Frimpong, Edwin Frimpong Manso, Eric Akomanin Donkor, Augustine Sefah , Awudu Nafiu, Adams Wahab, Emmanuel Owusu
Midfielders: Owusu Jackson, Mohammed Vie Sylla, Kwame Boahene, Douglas Owusu Ansah, Baba Mahama, Jordan Opoku, Seth Opare, Kwesi Nti, Michael Yeboah, Collins Ameyaw, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi, Emmanuel Gyamfi
Forwards: Sadick Adams, Obed Owusu Ampong, Abass Mohammed, Yakubu Mohammed.
Kotoko will face Congolese side Club Athletique Renaissance Aiglon (CARA) in the first round qualifier.
The two teams meet on the weekend of February 9-11, 2018 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi for the first leg with the second leg slated for the weekend of February 20-21 2018 in Brazzaville.
The winner will take on either Tunisian side Ben Guerdane and Al Hilal Juba of Sudan.
